Energy

Like everything I had ever known

Within my house, compressed within my home.

I had never known

The feeling of being alone

Heat, like blistering me on the

Summer streets.

Someone was always there, to cool me down.

But the heat pours down,

And rain won’t come.

The smiles of my family fades

From happiness to a dismal gray.

Pain occurs in cycles.

I suppose its’ just my turn to hurt
